Capital Campaign Projects
Last year's Capital Campaign was a great success for Trinity with some very strong pledges being made to support the work that needs to be done. The first project -- the parking lots and the drainage system -- are nearing completion; all we need is warm, dry weather for a few weeks and it will be finished.
The next project to be undertaken will be the renovation of the Sanctuary and the Nave. This work will include new lighting, moving the marble altar away from the wall, creating an accessible altar rail, a new floor in the Nave, a fresh coat of paint, and many other details. Since our hope is to accomplish this work in the summer of 2010 we have already begun planning
The Nave and Sanctuary Committee, chaired by Sug Clingenpeel and Val Folden, is meeting with the architect every other week so that it can move as quickly as possible. Jeff Dreyfus, of Bushman and Dreyfus Architects, has been listening to the committee's ideas and preferences and is beginning to come up with some good solutions to Trinity's needs.
Once the plan is largely complete, it will be submitted to the vestry for approval. Keep looking in the bulletin, the newsletter, and online for more information.
