Health Ministry Committee

Trinity has a volunteer Parish Nurse, Alice Glover RN, who sees parishioners at the church and in home visits every Tuesday.  The Health Ministry Committee works with her.

The mission of the Health Ministry Committee is to promote and to proclaim Christ’s healing presence in the lives of the people of Trinity Church.

We meet Christ in each other.  One way to do that is to keep the ill and shut-ins in touch with the congregation.  We want them to know they are always a part of Trinity.

Other Health Ministry Committee activities include monthly health education themes, quarterly blood pressure screenings, and an annual blood drive.   Most of us visit shut-ins on a regular schedule. 

The Health Ministry Committee meets once a month, and is always happy to have visitors or new members!  Five to ten HMC members attend the meetings, and we talk, plan, share, and enjoy each other’s company.  Most of us are over 55, and most have experience in health care.          But there is no need to be a health care professional to be a part of the HMC!  And we would love to have some younger members! 

The Health Ministry Committee meets on the third Tuesday of each month, at 3:30 pm.
