The Brotherhood of St. Andrew
A Ministry to Men
Trinity Episcopal Church Chapter
Fredericksburg , Virginia
It is a startling fact that in most communities with an Anglican or Episcopal church, up to 50 percent of the men do not attend any Christian church at all. What’s more, the average Anglican or Episcopal service will only comprise 15 to 25 percent men. They might drop their children off for church school on their way to play golf or to pick up the Sunday paper. They might surface at Christmas or Easter or for the occasional baptism.
Why don’t men support their church?
We don’t have all the answers, but we firmly believe that if men can come together with other men to discuss their faith and study the Holy Bible, they will become more active in the parish. And as they begin to accept the Disciplines of PRAYER and STUDY, they will grow to accept the Discipline of SERVICE. This is our calling.

Who are we?
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is an international ministry of men within the Anglican Communion. With headquarters in Ambridge , Pennsylvania , we trace our history back to an act of incorporation by the U. S. Congress signed by President Theodore Roosevelt. And according to that act, our “sole object” is “the spread of Christ's Kingdom among men."
Who can join?
Any baptized Christian man may be a member of the Brotherhood.
When do we meet?
The Trinity Chapter meets at 8:00 AM on each second and fourth Saturday of the month in Barber Hall. Meetings include a Bible Study and last one hour.
